Description

Ruins of a non-existent place explores a shifting sonic territory where
perspectives blur and familiar reference points dissolve. Somewhere
between deconstructed architecture and abstract landscapes,
Minten&González build a music of unstable forms, spatial tensions and
layered textures.

From the opening track, A Place Gone Astray, Luz González’s electronics
and Rebecca Minten’s bass clarinet move between rumbling surfaces,
drones, harmonics and reverberant spaces. Rather than merging into a
single sound, the two instruments continually reshape and redefine one
another, creating an acoustic environment in which listening becomes a
form of navigation.

Based in Switzerland and collaborating since 2023, Minten and González
approach sound as a physical and bodily experience. Their instruments
become extensions of the body, while improvisation unfolds as an
exchange of gestures, perceptions and spontaneous interactions.

Ruins of a non-existent place is a coproduction between Aut Records
(digital), Prefermusic (vinyl) and wabi-sabi tapes (cassette), bringing
together experimental music networks across Switzerland, Italy, France,
Germany and Spain.
