Luz González
Appears on:Spain/Switzerland (*1989). Luz is part of the independent art scene in Bern. Her artistic practice includes composition, sound research and sound art.
She presents a solo project for experimental electronic music since 2022 and is co-founder of the quartett for free improvisation NoRest! With scenographer Annatina Huwiler she explores interdisciplinary sound objects, for example in the works Dysphoria or z’Berg (awarded with the Lis und Roman Clemens Preis).
She is currently working in the electroacoustic duo Minten & González with clarinetist Rebecca Minten. In 2022 she developed the piece Superorganismus with the contemporary quartet Tramontana.
Her works have been performed in Switzerland (Dampfzentrale, Walcheturm, Prozess, etc.), Germany (ZKM, Anachronismus, Madame Claude), Spain (MUNCYT, Sin Sal) and Northern Ireland (Sonorities Festival Belfast).
Luz holds two Master’s degrees, one in Composition – Creative Practice and one in Contemporary Arts Practice, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Sound Arts. She earned these at the Bern University of the Arts. Previously, she graduated from the University of Bern with a degree in Spanish and French Literature and Linguistics.
She works part-time as an assistant in the Master Composition Creative Practice at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB).
