Born in Barcelona, in the Gràcia neighbourhood, in 1974, he is a self-taught musician, singer, and lyricist who began his career as a solo artist in 1994.

His first projects included the electronic pop duo Baza Strabe, the pop-rock group Pinkflaiters, and Lifetime, later known as Bearlin, co-led with Ignasi Calvo: an English-language electronic pop project that lasted more than ten years, leading to the release of the eponymous album Bearlin and to collaborations with national DJs on dancefloor-oriented tracks.

Together with Gonçal, a Barcelona-based musician and singer, he released two albums, received awards, and performed extensively, this time singing in Catalan. They later released the album Esferes, which received second prize at the Carles Sabaté Awards in 2012.

In 2014, he came to jazz by chance, opening a new path into vocal improvisation and lyric writing. In the jazz field, he began performing in jam sessions promoted by Valentí Grau at Jazz Terrassa and Aurelio Santos at WTF / Jamboree Jazz. He has had the opportunity to share projects and stages with Pere Ferré, Llibert Fortuny, Jordi Matas, Rodrigo G. Pahlen, Ariel Vigo, Matthew Simon, and others.

In 2015, he presented his first jazz-oriented work, Do the “Duu Du”, with the Jordi Rabascall 12to12 Quartet: a swing album open to other sounds, which was very well received at Catalan and Andorran festivals.

In 2016, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s birth, he presented his personal tribute to “The Voice” with Sinatra at the Apartment.

In 2017, following a residency with pianist and organist Albert Caire, Scatcrooner was born: an electro-jazz duo with hip-hop influences. They released the album Groovin’ on the Ritz in 2019.

Also in 2017, he created the power trio WIMEN, a project that gives space to more experimental jazz in dialogue with pop, rock, and improvisation. The trio features João Vieira on drums, Olivier Jambois on guitar, and Rabascall on vocals and effects.

Between 2017 and 2024, he dedicated himself mainly to live performances with his most established jazz projects, while also experimenting with sound formats and musical performance with LKFT Trio, alongside Olivier Jambois and Jordi Pallarés.

In 2025, Olivier Jambois released Eclosió, an album featuring Jim Black on drums and Jordi Rabascall on vocals and effects.
