Federico D’Angelo
Appears on:Federico D’Angelo was born in Lanciano (CH) on the 15th of December 1996.
At the age of 13 he enrolls in the Civic Institution of Music “Fedele Fenaroli”, where he studies classical saxophone. A few years later, Manuel Trabucco
directs him to the style and traditions of Jazz music, moreover he passes from the alto sax to the baritone sax as main instrument.
In 2015 he ranks 1st in the section of the avant-garde music at the
contemporary music competition in Pescara.
Since November 2015 he has been attending the Jazz Triennium at the Siena Jazz University in Siena, where he studies with the masters Achille Succi and Dan Kinzelman, lately he had the possibility to study in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam as an Erasmus student with Ben Van Gelder, Jasper Blom and Joris Roelofs.
In 2019 he joined the Jong Metropole Orkest as Baritone Saxophone, Bass Clarinet and Tuba Player, and he’s currently active in many different groups in Europe.
He also had the opportunity to study and interact with great artists such as Miguel Zenon, Ben Wedel, Dave Liebman, Jeff Ballard and Haris Raghavan.
