Max Hirth

Max Hirth (tenor saxophone, clarinet, composition) studied jazz saxophone with Prof. Johannes Enders at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig (HMT) from 2014-2019. In the summer of 2016, he won the Bach-Box-Scholarship at HMT Leipzig. In the fall of 2017, he studied for a semester at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Luzern with Nathanael Su. In 2019 he began his master studies at Jazzcampus Basel with Domenic Landolf. He attended several workshops since the beginning of his studies, including with Micha Acher, Michael Wollny, Jim Snidero, Matthias Spillmann, Roland von Flüe, Chris Speed, Yves Theiler and Rick Margiza. With the Big Band of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Luzern he played at “unerhört!” festival in Zürich, as well as at the Culture and Convention Center Luzern (KKL) with artists such as Mike and Kate Westbrook, Ed Partyka and Jörg Achim Keller.
