Graziano Gatti Quadri
Appears on:Italian cornetist and composer, he trained at the Civici Corsi di Jazz in Milan under M° Emilio Soana. His work develops at the intersection of jazz, improvisation and contemporary music, with particular attention to chamber formats, timbral detail and ensemble interplay.
Across his recordings, recurring collaborators and shifting line-ups define a practice rooted in dialogue and transformation. His discography includes *Call to the Planets, Response from the Stars* (Bunch Records, 2016), with Massimo Betti on electric guitar and Umberto Odone on drums; *Worn* (Bunch Records, 2018), with Betti on electric guitar, Stefano Fascioli on double bass and Alessio Russo on drums; *Panithiopliconica* (Easy Finger Records, 2018), with Luca Brembilla on classical guitar and Cornelia Zambila on violin; and *Suite for a Friend* (UR Records, 2019), with Alberto Zanini on electric guitar, Luca Pissavini on double bass and Dudù Kouatè on percussion and voice.
He is part of the Open Orchestra, contributing to *In Sea* (Easy Finger Records, 2019). His solo work *Biligornia d’ol tèp ch’èl vé* (Setola di Maiale, forthcoming) extends this trajectory into a more solitary and textural dimension.
He has performed at Bergamo Jazz, Jazz in Quota and Taste in Jazz. Alongside his musical activity, he has also worked in theatre. In 2012 he took part in the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival in the United States with Matè Teatro, performing *This Property Is Condemned* by Tennessee Williams.
