CYRILLE OBERMÜLLER (°1994) is an increasingly resounding name in the Belgian jazz scene. He studied at the conservatories of The Hague, Brussels, the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Bo Van Der Werf.
Cyrille is active as a double bass player and live and studio soundengineer and is also the founder of La Conserve, Center for jazz and improvised music and Studio La Conserve. We know him from projects such as HAST, Bruno Vansina Quintet, Bo Van Der Werf ‘Mantra Magnets’, Casimir Liberski Trio, Karel Cuelenaere Trio, Nabou Claerhout Trombone Ensemble, Ingi Bjarni Skulason Trio, Ping O.D. and collaborations with Mark Guiliana, Jakob Bro, Robin Eubanks, John O’gallagher,… Cyrille has played at festivals such as Jazz Middelheim, Gent Jazz, Brussels Jazz Weekend, Reykjavik Jazz Festival, Leuven Jazz Festival and Flagey Jazz Festival and numerous stages in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, England, Iceland, Israel,…
