Lyon-based guitarist CHARLES PAILLET studied at the École Nationale de Musique (ENM) in Villeurbanne, with Philippe Roche and Pierre Achache, and with Steven Criado at the Lyon Regional Conservatoire, where he discovered jazz and improvisation. He was able to explore his deep interest in Nelson Veras’s rhythmic and melodic explorations while attending his classes for a year at the Haute École de Musique (HEMU) in Lausanne.

Nowadays Charles currently spends much of his time developing his own different projects, both as a performer and composer, including the duet Weld and the quartet Bitter Blaze.
