Alessandro Paternesi was born in Fabriano on May 9, 1983. He began playing drums at an early age, encouraged by his father’s passion for the instrument. At fourteen, he started studying classical percussion while developing an interest in jazz through lessons with Massimo Manzi in his hometown.

In 2007, he graduated in percussion from the F. Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia, where he studied under Domenico Fontana. He continued his academic training in Rome, earning a degree in jazz drums from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in 2011.

Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous musicians on a wide range of projects, developing a distinctive and highly personal musical language.
