Agnese Amico

Amico is a classically trained violinist whose activity is divided between classical repertoire, with work in orchestra and ensemble, and improvisation, in various formations. In 2022 a solo record was released by Zoar Records, “Alalie,” entirely improvised with the hardingfele (Norwegian folk violin). Since 2019 she has been a member of Quartetto Obliquo, a string ensemble dedicated to research on new musical languages, and the DOOOM Orchestra, a free improvisation ensemble. She has been artist-in-residence for MAC – City of Padua and investigates the relationship between sound and space through the project Maaterials. She collaborates with various symphonic foundations.
