Alba Tor
Appears on:Alba Tor is a cultural creator and mediator, trained in Philosophy, Sign Language Interpretation, Community Mediation, and Live Arts. She has directed and participated in documentary theatre pieces, cabarets, and performances, as well as in shows presented at festivals and venues across Barcelona.
She has been a member of the company Dones Diverses (uTOpia Barcelona), the Minerva Project, and the Theatre Philosophy Laboratory at Sala Beckett, among others.
As a presenter and facilitator, she has hosted numerous cultural and artistic events and previously directed the improvisation program In-Communication on Ràdio Ciutat Vella. She has also collaborated with Quimera Magazine, writing chronicles and interviews about the performing arts, and has appeared as an actress in various television productions.
Currently, she coordinates and leads cultural and artistic projects, develops her own pieces, and collaborates with the vocal improvisation choir Veus Lliures, directed by Celeste Alías. She also hosts La Otra Jam, a free improvisation gathering at R.A.I.
Her practice focuses on creating spaces for shared creation, stage dialogue, and connection with the audience, where voice, body, and word intertwine in a continuous scenic exploration.
