Lorenzo Negroni is a guitarist and composer based in Bologna. Born in 1997, after studying classical guitar he graduated in Jazz Guitar at the Bologna Conservatory, where he is currently enrolled in the Jazz Composition diploma program. He has also studied classical composition privately with Maestro Alicia Montorsi Galli.
As a guitarist, he has performed at several major Italian festivals, including Calagonone Jazz Festival with the project Karabò Quintet (2021), Jaci Jazz with the quartet Tetrakè (2024), Bologna Jazz Festival with the Martini Big Band and Javier Girotto (2024), Angelica Festival with Otomo Yoshihide (2023) and with Rhys Chatham (2025), and Umbria Jazz with the project Omlet Octet (finalists of the Conad Jazz Contest 2025).
His arrangements and original compositions have been performed in concerts at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna, at the Conservatory of Sassari (in the event “Totale – Tribute to Giorgio Gaslini”, in collaboration with the Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna), and at the Torrione Jazz Club in Ferrara (concert titled “Debujazz”, as part of the Debussy Festival 2025).
