GIOVANNI FOCHESATO, saxophone player from Cologna Veneta, born in 1994, decided to start his studies at the ‘A. Pedrollo’ music conservatory in Vicenza in 2013, choosing the Jazz performance as major. Under the guidance of maestro Pietro Tonolo he obtained the three-year and two-year diploma, both with a score of 110/110 laude, and, at the same time, he dedicated a lot of time to concert activity, boasting, as of today, an excellent experience of live performances. In 2019 he went to Boston to continue his studies at Berklee College of Music, to specialize and try to complete himself overseas.
In addition to all this, he also deals with participating in competitions in the jazz branch, and is the winner of two in particular: in 2018 first place at the ‘Chicco Bettinardi’ in Piacenza in the groups section, in 2021 winner of the Olimpico Jazz Contest in Vicenza, as well as other appearances at the finals of numerous other competitions.
He has currently taken part in two releases as a co-performer with the group R.A.M.E. the eponymous debut album and the second release ‘Oscura Era’, and released his first work as a leader in 2021 with the album ‘Atto Primo’.
