Francesco De Tuoni
Appears on:Born in 1999 in Motta di Livenza, Italy, he began studying music and playing the drums at the age of ten. From 2018 to 2021, he studied Jazz Drums and Percussion at the Cesare Pollini Conservatory in Padua, before continuing his studies and professional training at Siena Jazz University under the guidance of artists and maestros such as Jeff Ballard, Gregory Hutchinson, Ziv Ravitz, Reiner Bass, Damien Cabaud, Gabriele Evangelista, Stefano Battaglia, Roberto Cecchetto, Francesco Bigoni, Jesse Davis and many others.
As part of the international workshops organized by the Siena Jazz Academy, he attended instrument and ensemble music lessons with world-class artists including Gerald Clayton, Fabian Almazan, Micheal Mayo, Kendrick Scott, Dan Weiss, Nate Wood, Tommy Crane and Henry Cole.
In 2022–23, he was part of the L-ab group led and selected by Francesco Diodati. In the summer of 2023, he was selected with the F.A.D.E Quartet as one of the ten finalists of the Conad Jazz Festival.
He is currently part of bassist Andrea Lombardini’s project Cenobium, with whom he released the album MMXXIV. In 2024, he won first place in the “Marco Tamburini” award with the collective Aria.
