Diego Albini, born in 1996, is a jazz pianist based in Milan. He studied in the Conservatory of Como with Antonio Zambrini, Eugenio Macchia and Massimo Colombo, and in Siena Jazz with Fabrizio Puglisi, Yonathan Avishai and Stefano Battaglia.
His style, both as a pianist and as a composer, is characterized by a deep lyricism, a careful and often minimalistic use of silence and space, and a predilection for polyrhythms.

He has been particularly active as a sideman with Giovanni Falzone’s “Young Spirits” quartet since 2023: with this same band, he’s played in many theaters and festivals in Italy, including the “Three Generations” concert in May 2024 which also featured Enrico Rava.

He is also a sideman for Alex Sipiagin, with whom he recorded the trumpeter’s album “Daydream”, released in June, 2025.
Along his many further musical collaborations, Diego has also had the opportunity to play concerts with some of the best musicians based in Milan, like Andrea Andreoli, Tino Tracanna, Pasquale Fiore, Alessandro Rossi, Gianluca Zanello, Marco Fior, Matteo Rebulla.

In 2021, he was a finalist for the Bettinardi Contest in Piacenza.
